Terms of Use
Last updated: March 2026
1. What this covers
These terms govern your use of Rysome (ryso.me), including the website and any associated apps. By using Rysome, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.
2. Accounts
You need an account to use Rysome. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person. You must be at least 13 years old to use Rysome. If we find out you're under 13, we'll delete your account.
3. Your content
You own whatever you post on Rysome — photos, descriptions, collection data. By posting it, you grant Rysome a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and reproduce that content within the platform and for promotional purposes (e.g. sharing a public plant profile on social media). You can remove your content at any time, which revokes this licence, except where it's already been shared or cached.
Don't post content you don't have the rights to. Don't post anything illegal, abusive, or harmful.
4. Swaps and trades
Rysome connects collectors. We are not a party to any swap, trade, or transaction between users. We don't guarantee the quality, legality, or delivery of any plant exchanged. Any arrangement you make with another user is between you and them. Use your judgement.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use Rysome to spam, harass, impersonate others, scrape data, distribute malware, or do anything that would make the platform worse for everyone else. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Intellectual property
Rysome's brand, design, and underlying code are ours. Your content is yours. Don't copy, reverse-engineer, or redistribute any part of the platform without permission.
7. Availability and changes
Rysome is provided as-is. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we don't guarantee uptime or uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may update these terms — continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rysome and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. This includes, without limitation, any losses arising from swaps or trades between users.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
